SmartDraw's visual guides and built-in measurement tools give you the clarity and precision you need to design like a pro.
As you drag furniture and fixtures to your floor plan, SmartDraw's automatic blue guides will show you the distance to the nearest wall or object. You'll know exactly where to place new items so things are aligned and evenly spaced.
Once placed, you can still measure distances between objects using the Measure Distance tool in your SmartPanel to the left of your work area. Simply click the Measure Distance command and draw a line to show the distance between two objects.
Similarly, the Measure Area tool lets you draw a quick reference to help you plan and calculate square footage.
SmartDraw also offers Extension Lines, which display wall lengths slightly offset for better readability. This is ideal for professional presentations or detailed construction planning.
You can toggle displaying Extension Lines under the Display Options of the Dimensions dialog.
