You can now tag team members directly in comments and notes to instantly bring them to the right part of your diagram. They'll get notified both in the app and, if your admin connects Slack, right inside your team's workspace. With real-time mentions and optimal Slack integration, SmartDraw keeps everyone aligned and on the same page.

Tag and Notify Your Team Directly in Diagrams

Bring the right people in the loop exactly where and when you need them. You can now tag anyone in comments and notes and notify them of important conversations and questions.

Select any shape, add a comment or note, then type "@" + name or email to pick a team member from a pop-up menu that appears.
Once you tag someone, they're notified as soon as they next log in to SmartDraw or via Slack if your admin has integrated SmartDraw with Slack.
If the tagged person is editing the same document at the time, they'll receive a pop-up alert immediately.
Notifications appear under your user menu via a red dot next to your name.
Clicking on a notification will take you to the shape where you were mentioned.

Integrate SmartDraw with Slack for Real-Time Mentions in Your Team Chat

If your organization uses Slack, SmartDraw now offers seamless integration so you can keep your team updated on important diagrams.

Your admin can create a Slack Bot in your workspace to allow SmartDraw to send mention notifications into Slack.
Once configured, whenever someone tags you in SmartDraw, you'll get a Slack notification with the comment and link to the document.
Click the link and you'll be taken directly to the exact shape in SmartDraw where you were mentioned. It's that easy.
